AirPillow™ Seal — Exceptionally Soft Silicone
The defining feature of the Brevida is its AirPillow™ silicone seal.
Once PAP therapy begins, the soft silicone seal inflates to create a gentle pillow of air in and around the nose.
Rather than relying entirely on mechanical pressure against the nostrils, the inflatable design allows therapy pressure itself to help form the seal.
In our experience, this is one of the reasons the Brevida feels noticeably softer than many conventional nasal pillows interfaces.

Washable Diffuser Reduces Noise & Draft

Published Brevida Exhaust Flow
Like all vented PAP masks, the Brevida intentionally releases airflow to flush exhaled carbon dioxide.
With the diffuser installed, F&P publishes approximately:

How to Fit & Clean the F&P Brevida Nasal Pillows Mask
Correct AirPillow™ sizing is important for both comfort and leak control. The soft seal should rest gently around the nostrils and inflate once PAP therapy begins.

Brevida Fitting Tips
- Select either the XS-S or M-L AirPillow™ seal.
- Position the soft silicone seal gently around the nostrils.
- Bring the headgear over the head.
- Adjust the straps only enough to stabilize the mask.
- Connect the Brevida to the Pocket-X tubing.
- Turn therapy on and allow the AirPillow™ seal to inflate.
- Check for leaks while lying in your normal sleeping position.
- If discomfort or persistent leakage occurs, try the alternative seal included in the Fit Pack.
Avoid overtightening. AirPillow™ technology is designed to inflate and create its seal using therapy pressure.
Brevida Cleaning & Maintenance
Follow Fisher & Paykel Healthcare's current instructions when cleaning the AirPillow™ seal, frame, diffuser, elbow, swivel and headgear.
The washable diffuser should remain clean and unobstructed to preserve quiet exhaust performance.
Allow washed components to air dry completely away from direct sunlight before reassembly.
F&P advises replacing the mask no later than 12 months after first use for single-patient reuse, or sooner if components show visible deterioration.
