Yuwell Pocket-X Travel CPAP Bundle with ResMed AirFit F40 Full Face Mask

Ultra-portable CPAP therapy paired with ResMed's smallest tube-down full face mask — designed for minimal facial coverage, freedom of movement and comfortable mouth-and-nose therapy while traveling.

The Yuwell Pocket-X Travel CPAP Bundle with ResMed AirFit F40 Full Face Mask combines a compact CPAP/APAP machine with one of ResMed's most minimalist full face mask designs. It is an excellent travel combination for users who require mouth-and-nose CPAP therapy but want to reduce the amount of equipment they carry and the amount of mask sitting across their face.

Weighing approximately 0.66 lb (300 g), the Yuwell Pocket-X is built specifically around portability while still supporting CPAP and Auto-CPAP (APAP) therapy. Unlike travel systems that restrict users to proprietary masks, the Pocket-X can be used with compatible standard CPAP masks and tubing.

The ResMed AirFit F40 is particularly well suited to that philosophy. ResMed describes the F40 as its smallest tube-down full face mask. Its UltraCompact™ cushion rests underneath the nose rather than across the nasal bridge, while still surrounding the mouth to provide full face therapy.

The combination creates an excellent portable CPAP solution for vacations, business trips, cruises, cottages, secondary residences and frequent travelers who normally use a full face mask.

Why We Paired the Pocket-X with the AirFit F40

Travel CPAP systems are supposed to reduce bulk. For full face mask users, however, the mask itself can sometimes become one of the largest parts of the travel setup.

The AirFit F40 addresses this with an ultra-compact under-the-nose design. Instead of extending over the bridge of the nose, the cushion seals underneath the nostrils and around the mouth.

ResMed pairs this cushion with a fully flexible mask frame that sits below the eyes and is covered with soft fabric padding. The frame is designed to move with the user rather than relying on a rigid conventional full face structure.

A short flexible tube between the mask and main CPAP hose helps reduce tube drag and allows the connection to move as sleeping position changes — a particularly useful feature in hotel beds and unfamiliar sleeping environments.

Who Is the Pocket-X + AirFit F40 Bundle Best For?

  • CPAP users who breathe through both the nose and mouth
  • People who experience nighttime mouth breathing
  • Users with intermittent or seasonal nasal congestion
  • People who prefer full face therapy without a cushion over the nasal bridge
  • Side sleepers
  • Users who change sleeping positions frequently
  • People who prefer a smaller, minimalist full face mask
  • Travelers who dislike bulky traditional full face masks
  • Users who want the CPAP hose connection in front rather than routed through a top-of-head frame
  • Frequent travelers looking for a dedicated secondary CPAP setup

AirFit F40 Cushion & Headgear Sizing

AirFit F40 sizing is especially flexible because the cushion size and headgear size are separate components. This allows the mask to accommodate different facial proportions without requiring an entirely different mask frame.

AirFit F40 Cushion Medium (M) 64628
AirFit F40 Cushion Large (L) 64629

AdaptiSeal™ UltraCompact Silicone Cushion

At the centre of the AirFit F40 is ResMed's UltraCompact™ AdaptiSeal™ silicone cushion.

The cushion rests underneath the nose rather than across the nasal bridge, while continuing around the mouth to maintain full face therapy.

ResMed designed the soft silicone cushion to adapt to the face and maintain its seal as sleeping position changes. This can be particularly useful for people who sleep on their side or move frequently throughout the night.

Because the mask does not extend over the bridge of the nose, users also retain a more open field of vision for reading, watching television or using a phone before bed.

ResMed's Smallest Tube-Down Full Face Mask

The AirFit F40 occupies a unique position within ResMed's full face mask range. ResMed describes it as its smallest tube-down full face mask.

This makes it especially attractive to users who want a minimal full face mask but still prefer having the CPAP hose connected toward the front of the mask rather than routed through a top-of-head frame.

For travel, this also means there is no hollow conduit frame required to deliver therapy air around the sides of the head.

Flexible Frame Designed for Different Sleeping Positions

Rather than using a rigid plastic structure around the face, the AirFit F40 uses a flexible curved frame with soft fabric padding.

The frame sits below the eyes and is designed to flex as the user moves. This makes the F40 particularly appealing for side sleepers and active sleepers who may place portions of the mask against a pillow during the night.

Short Tube Helps Reduce Hose Drag

Between the mask and the main CPAP tubing is a short flexible tube. This provides additional movement between the user and the main therapy hose.

Rather than transferring every movement of the CPAP hose directly to the mask cushion, the short tube can absorb some of that movement and help reduce pulling at the mask.

This can be particularly useful during travel when the CPAP machine may need to sit on a bedside table positioned differently from your normal home setup.

Quick-Release Elbow

The AirFit F40 includes a compact quick-release elbow, allowing the therapy hose to be disconnected from the mask without completely removing the headgear.

This can make getting out of bed during the night significantly easier while preserving your mask adjustment for when you return.

QuietAir™ Diffuse Venting

ResMed incorporates its QuietAir™ vent system directly into the F40 cushion. Rather than directing exhaled airflow outward in one concentrated stream, the vent disperses air more diffusely.

ResMed lists the AirFit F40 at approximately 20 dB(A), helping maintain a quieter therapy environment for both the user and sleeping partner.

Integrated Anti-Asphyxia Valve

As a full face CPAP mask, the AirFit F40 incorporates an anti-asphyxia valve (AAV) within the elbow assembly.

If PAP therapy stops delivering adequate airflow, the valve is designed to provide access to ambient room air.

Waterless Travel Humidification Included

Heated CPAP humidification can be inconvenient while traveling because it typically requires both a water chamber and access to distilled water.

Every SleepEZ Pocket-X Travel Bundle therefore includes 4 compatible Transcend Heat-Moisture Exchange (HME) units.

An HME captures a portion of the warmth and moisture contained in exhaled breath and returns some of that moisture during inhalation, providing a compact waterless CPAP humidification option.

No water chamber. No distilled-water bottle in your luggage. Less equipment to carry.

Important AirFit F40 Magnet Warning

IMPORTANT: The ResMed AirFit F40 contains magnets.

ResMed states that masks containing magnetic components are contraindicated for patients — or anyone in close physical contact with the mask while it is being used — who have certain active medical implants or metallic implants that may be affected by magnets.

Examples include certain pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, neurostimulators, cerebrospinal fluid shunts, insulin or infusion pumps, aneurysm clips, implanted hearing devices and other susceptible medical implants.

ResMed instructs users to keep mask magnets at least 150 mm / approximately 6 inches away from implants or medical devices that may be adversely affected by magnetic interference.

If you or your sleeping partner has an implanted medical device, review the current ResMed contraindications and consult the device manufacturer or healthcare provider before using a magnetic CPAP mask.

AirFit F40 Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning helps maintain mask hygiene, cushion flexibility and consistent leak control.

The AirFit F40 cushion, frame, elbow/short tube and headgear should be cleaned according to ResMed's current manufacturer instructions. Vent openings and the anti-asphyxia valve should remain clean and unobstructed.

Allow components to air dry away from direct sunlight before reassembling the mask.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the ResMed AirFit F40 with the Yuwell Pocket-X?

Yes. The Yuwell Pocket-X works with compatible standard CPAP masks and tubing, allowing it to be paired with the ResMed AirFit F40 rather than requiring a proprietary travel-specific mask.

Is the AirFit F40 a full face mask?

Yes. The AirFit F40 provides mouth-and-nose CPAP therapy. Its cushion sits underneath the nose and surrounds the mouth rather than covering the bridge of the nose like many traditional full face masks.

Is the AirFit F40 good for mouth breathers?

Full face masks are commonly selected for users who breathe through their mouth during sleep or experience nasal congestion that makes exclusive nasal-mask therapy difficult.

Does the AirFit F40 sit over the bridge of the nose?

No. The UltraCompact™ cushion sits underneath the nostrils, leaving the nasal bridge uncovered while continuing to provide full mouth-and-nose therapy.

What AirFit F40 cushion sizes are available?

ResMed offers the AirFit F40 cushion in Small-Wide, Medium and Large.

What AirFit F40 headgear sizes are available?

AirFit F40 headgear is available in Small, Standard and Large.

Does the F40 use different frame sizes?

No. Unlike ResMed's F30i-style tube-up masks, AirFit F40 sizing is primarily determined through the cushion and headgear. The flexible F40 mask frame itself is not offered as Small, Standard and Large conduit sizes.

Which AirFit F40 configuration comes with this SleepEZ bundle?

This Pocket-X bundle includes a Medium F40 cushion with your choice of Small or Standard headgear.

Is the AirFit F40 good for side sleepers?

The F40 uses a flexible frame and adaptive under-the-nose cushion designed to maintain comfort and sealing as users change sleeping positions, making it particularly appealing to side sleepers and active sleepers.

What is the difference between AirFit F40 and AirFit F30i?

Both are under-the-nose full face masks, but their tubing designs are different. The AirFit F40 is a tube-down mask with a short flexible tube at the front, while the AirFit F30i routes therapy airflow through the frame and connects the main CPAP hose at the top of the head.

What is the difference between AirFit F40 and AirTouch F30i?

The AirFit F40 uses a soft silicone AdaptiSeal™ cushion and tube-down configuration. The AirTouch F30i uses a ComfiSoft™ fabric-contact cushion and top-of-head tubing.

What pressure range is the AirFit F40 designed for?

ResMed specifies a therapy pressure range of approximately 4–30 cmH₂O for the AirFit F40.

Does the AirFit F40 contain magnets?

Yes. AirFit F40 uses magnetic headgear clips. Patients and close sleeping partners with certain implanted medical devices should review ResMed's current magnet contraindications before use.

Does the AirFit F40 have an anti-asphyxia valve?

Yes. The AirFit F40 incorporates an anti-asphyxia valve within its elbow assembly.

Does the Pocket-X require a special proprietary CPAP mask?

No. The Pocket-X is compatible with appropriate standard CPAP masks and tubing, allowing users to select from a wide variety of nasal, nasal-pillow and full face interfaces.

Does this Pocket-X bundle include humidification?

This SleepEZ bundle includes 4 compatible Transcend Heat-Moisture Exchange (HME) units for compact waterless humidification while traveling.
