Inogen Rove 4 Replacement Sieve Beds / Column Pair – RP-411

Genuine Replacement Columns for the Inogen Rove 4 Portable Oxygen Concentrator

Keep your Inogen Rove 4 performing properly with the correct replacement sieve-bed assembly.

The Inogen RP-411 Replacement Column Pair, also commonly called sieve beds, contains the molecular sieve material responsible for separating nitrogen from room air so that the Rove 4 can produce concentrated oxygen.

Over time, this sieve material gradually loses efficiency and requires replacement as part of normal concentrator maintenance.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Rove 4 and G4 Sieve Beds Are NOT the Same

Although the Inogen Rove 4 replaced the Inogen One G4 and the two concentrators share several accessories, they do NOT use the same replacement sieve beds.

Inogen Rove 4

Correct Column Part Number: RP-411

Inogen One G4

Correct Column Part Number: RP-406

RP-411 Rove 4 columns are NOT compatible with the Inogen One G4.

Likewise, RP-406 G4 columns should not be installed in a Rove 4.

Always confirm the model of your concentrator before ordering replacement columns.

What Do the Rove 4 Sieve Beds Do?

Your Inogen Rove 4 draws ordinary room air into the concentrator.

Inside the device, the molecular sieve material contained within the columns selectively removes nitrogen from that air. This allows the concentrator to provide a much higher concentration of oxygen to the user.

As the sieve material ages and is repeatedly exposed to moisture and environmental air, its efficiency gradually declines.

Replacing the column pair when indicated helps maintain:

  • Proper oxygen concentration

  • Reliable oxygen delivery

  • Efficient concentrator performance

  • Normal device operation

  • Expected service life of the concentrator

When Should Rove 4 Columns Be Replaced?

The Inogen Rove 4 monitors column performance and will notify the user when replacement is required.

When the device displays the Replace Columns alert, Inogen indicates that column replacement is required within approximately 30 days.

Actual column life can vary based on:

  • Frequency of use

  • Total operating hours

  • Humidity

  • Environmental conditions

  • Storage conditions

  • Exposure to dust and contaminants

Rather than replacing columns solely according to a calendar schedule, follow the replacement notification displayed by your Rove 4.

Easy User-Replaceable Design

The Rove 4 was designed so that routine sieve-bed replacement can be performed without sending the concentrator away for servicing.

The RP-411 column pair can be replaced without specialized tools.

Once the new columns are installed, follow the Rove 4 column replacement instructions to complete the installation and reset the appropriate column-life notification.

Rove 4 vs. G4 Sieve Beds

This is especially important because many other accessories between these two concentrators are shared.

Inogen Rove 4 Inogen One G4
Correct Sieve Bed / Column RP-411 RP-406
Columns Included 2 2
User Replaceable Yes Yes
Tool-Free Replacement Yes Yes
Same Sieve Beds? NO NO
Interchangeable? NO NO

Why the confusion?

The Rove 4 is the newer-generation successor to the Inogen One G4, and a number of accessories are shared between the two platforms.

For example, certain batteries and other accessories may be listed for both G4 / Rove 4 compatibility.

The sieve beds are an exception.

The internal column design changed with the Rove 4.

For this reason:

G4 = RP-406

Rove 4 = RP-411

Do not choose replacement columns based solely on the physical similarity of the two concentrators.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Inogen G4 and Rove 4 sieve beds the same?

No.

This is one of the important differences between the two concentrators.

The Inogen One G4 uses RP-406 replacement columns, while the Inogen Rove 4 uses RP-411 replacement columns.

They are not interchangeable.

My Rove 4 looks very similar to my old G4. Can I use my old G4 columns?

No.

Even though the Rove 4 is based on the same compact four-setting platform and shares some accessories with the G4, the replacement column assemblies are different.

Use RP-411 only with the Rove 4.

Which columns do I need for an Inogen One G4?

If your concentrator says Inogen One G4, you require:

RP-406 Inogen One G4 Replacement Column Pair

Do not purchase RP-411.

Which columns do I need for an Inogen Rove 4?

If your concentrator says Inogen Rove 4, you require:

RP-411 Inogen Rove 4 Replacement Column Pair

Does one order include both columns?

Yes.

The concentrator uses a pair of sieve columns, and one RP-411 replacement kit contains the complete column pair.

Can I replace the Rove 4 columns myself?

Yes.

The Rove 4 uses a user-replaceable column system designed to allow the sieve beds to be changed without specialized tools.

Always follow the manufacturer's column replacement instructions.

What does a “Replace Columns” message mean?

The Rove 4 monitors the condition of the sieve beds.

When a Replace Columns warning appears, the columns are approaching the end of their usable service life and should be replaced.

Inogen's Rove 4 documentation indicates that replacement should be completed within approximately 30 days of this alert.

Will new sieve beds fix a low oxygen warning?

Worn sieve beds can contribute to reduced oxygen purity, so replacing the columns when indicated is an important part of Rove 4 maintenance.

However, if oxygen concentration warnings continue after replacement, or the concentrator displays additional service alarms, the unit should be assessed by your oxygen equipment provider.

SleepEZ Compatibility Check
