With over a decade of experience in respiratory therapy—including critical care in the hospital ICU and extensive work in home respiratory care—Rafael Mendonça brings a rare level of skill and insight to SleepEZ Home Health. His dedication to the field is shaped not only by his clinical training but also by his own journey with sleep-disordered breathing. Since starting CPAP therapy in 2022, Rafael has gained personal, first-hand understanding of what patients face: adapting to equipment, managing comfort, navigating pressure changes, and celebrating the improvements that come with better sleep.
Outside of the clinic, Rafael is known for his active lifestyle. He’s a passionate ballroom and social dancer, a committed boxer, and someone who enjoys staying fit through hiking and regular workouts. His belief is simple: when you sleep well, you live well—and this philosophy influences the way he supports every patient he meets.
Throughout his career, Rafael has helped thousands of individuals improve their sleep, boost their daytime energy, and enhance their long-term health. He has a particular interest in women’s sleep wellness and understands how hormonal shifts, stress patterns, and daily responsibilities can influence sleep quality. Patients often describe him as attentive, empathetic, and solution-oriented—someone who takes the time to listen and genuinely cares about their experience.
