Take the first step toward understanding your sleep health from the comfort of your own home. Our ApneaLink Air device by ResMed offers a simple, effective, and professional way to screen for sleep apnea and gain valuable insights into your nightly rest — all without needing an overnight stay in a clinic. This test includes
Parameters Monitored by ApneaLink Air
-
Nasal Airflow
Assesses breathing patterns and detects apneas or hypopneas by measuring airflow through the nasal cannula. -
Snoring
Identifies the presence and intensity of snoring, a common symptom of obstructive sleep apnea. -
Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂)
Monitors oxygen levels in the blood via a fingertip pulse oximeter, helping to detect desaturation events during sleep. -
Pulse Rate
Tracks heart rate fluctuations, which can be influenced by apneic events and arousals. -
Respiratory Effort
Measures chest movements using an effort sensor belt to differentiate between obstructive and central apneas. -
Body Position
Records the patient's sleeping position (e.g., supine, lateral), as body posture can affect the frequency and severity of apneas.
These parameters collectively enable healthcare professionals to evaluate sleep-disordered breathing and determine the appropriate course of action.

Please Note:
This test is designed for adults 16 and older. It is not suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions, such as heart failure, COPD, or neuromuscular disorders. If you have any of these conditions, we recommend speaking with your doctor about an in-lab sleep study for safer, more comprehensive evaluation.
